Vacuum Packing Proves to be the Perfect Solution

Catthorpe Manor Farm Shop & Tea Room is a family run business set in rural Leicestershire. They
specialise in home produced meat, fruit and vegetables, as well as their delicacy scrummy home
made cakes.

Partner Matt Grindall needs to ensure that the farm’s meat is kept fresh for his customers.
The farm sends its livestock for slaughter once a fortnight and receives large portions back for
freezing and sale in the farm shop and sale in the tea room. This inevitably meant that some of
the meat produce, especially in the tea room, was not of a good enough quality for his customers
and was thrown away at great cost to his business.
